The heat keeps coming! After two amazing days in Springdale, Utah we headed to Arizona. On our way from Zion to The Grand Canyon we drove through Arizona, then Nevada and stopped at Lake Mead for a driving break and a swim. The water was truly bath water and the kids played for two hours without leaving the lake. We continued on to Arizona and stopped in Meadview for the night.
We arrived in Meadsview for dinner and a movie before bed. And, a beautiful sunset.
The Grand Canyon

We have a 7:00am Skywalk reservation at The Grand Canyon. The Skywalk is a 10-foot wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extending 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon. The glass platform bottom exposes the 4,000 feet to the floor of the Canyon below. They promise me this engineering marvel is strong enough to hold seventy fully loaded 747 passenger jets. Wish us luck!
What a spectacular sight and an amazing way to see The Grand Canyon. Our kids are officially crazy- they have no fear of heights and were completely comfortable walking across the glass bottom Skywalk. I survived, and even enjoyed the views.
